This figure commemorates a Birrkili ceremony. The black triangles symbolise thunder, red is the rain and white is for lightning.
The back of the figure is also painted. It is made from natural earth pigments, human hair and wood. It is in exceptional condition for its age painted in extensive detail on both the back and front. Similar works are held in the major institutional collections in Australia
